Information Minister Chishimba Kambwili says it is the Patriotic Front’s programme to end loadshedding after two years.
Kambwili says the UPND wants to ride on the PF programme by telling Zambians that they end loadshedding in two years after forming government.
UPND Vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba told the people of the Copperbelt on Tuesday that there will be no loadshedding two after the opposition in government.
But Kambwili who called a press briefing to respond to GBM’s claims today said from the projects the PF is carrying, there will be no loadshedding by 2018.
Kambwili charged that the opposition has nothing to offer and has urged Zambians to maintain the PF.
Kambwili who is also Roan constituency former Member of Parliament said GBM’s claims when he addressed a rally in Roan that the UPND will negotiate with owners of Luanshya’ s Baluba Mine and Nchanga underground mine on the possible re-opening of the two mines are lies.
He has dismissed GBM’s claims saying it is currently not possible to run the mines on a sustainable basis because they are high cost mines.
