A video above has emerged in which Uganda’s main opposition leader Kizza Bisesigye is being sworn in as the Republican President of Uganda.
The ‘mock’ swearing in ceremony took place yesterday ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s taking place today.
Hundreds of people cheering are seen witnessing the event. The opposition leader then addresses them after taking oath and declares he is the legitimate winner of the February 18 presidential election.
President Museveni won the disputed poll which observers say was characterised by violence and intimidation.
Museveni had won 60.75% of the vote, while Besigye had taken 35%.
Several Head of States including Edgar Lungu of Zambia are witnessing President Museveni’s inauguration today.
