Lungu chairs cabinet meeting with deputy ministers in attendance

Opposition UPND Vice president for Administration Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba said he will instruct UPND members to effect citizen arrest on Ministers who will not vacate office today when Parliament dissolves.

Mwamba commonly known as GBM says the UPND will not watch the PF abuse their authority by allowing Ministers to continue.

The UPND Vice president was speaking on Wednesday after he appeared in court in case he said would go for President Lungu’s throat.

And Rainbow Party leader Wynter Kabimba says the constitution was very clear about the issue. He says the constitution states that Ministers will be appointed from Parliament and once it dissolves then the Ministers automatically seize to hold their office.

Kabimba says Justice Minister Ngosa Simbyakula and President Lungu are both lawyers who understand the law.

The Rainbow Party leader who is also a lawyer and former Minister of Justice says the duo ( Lungu and Simbyakula) should not play politics to do what is convinent to them but follow the constitution.

Dr Simbyakula yesterday said the Ministers will continue until a new president appoints a new cabinet.

The Justice Minister dared Law Association of Zambia to seek redress in the constitution court.
