Prof Luo
Munali Member of Parliament and Gender Minister Nkandu Luo has dismissed reports that she has quit PF and joined UPND.
There have been reports circulating that Prof Luo has quit her ministerial position and party membership in the ruling party.
But Prof Luo says this is all lies by the UPND. She has urged citizens to be aware of false and fabricated lies being peddled against senior members of the Patriotic Front by the Opposition.
She says the United Party for National Development (UPND) have intensified lies against leaders especially from Patriotic Front (PF) strongholds.
She said the UPND was desperate to attempt to show that the party was gaining momentum.
“We know the tricks. They bus people, flood areas with their party materials and create a sense of artificial popularity..we saw those tricks with MMD”
She said the opposition party was last week circulating lies that Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba was attending a UPND Press Conference when he was with President Edgar Lungu in Mozambique.
“This is sponsored propaganda. They have done everything to frustrate me but failed. They continue saying I have done nothing in Munali and claim that I have failed as a Member of Parliament”
“But many people know what I have done in Munali Constituency. So those claims that i have failed are coming from the Opposition and certain members of the party- a kick of the dying horse, they have resorted to that, hoping that their prefered candidate, a weak candidate can have easy access to adoption”.
She wondered why certain PF members had fallen for the trick of in-house fights instead of concentrating on the enemy at the door.
“What baffles me is that we fight all the time in PF instead of fighting the Opposition. This a critical time when we should be united but innendoes, and lying continue. What do people behind this want to achieve is puzzling”.
“I have come to the conclusion that Zambia has a disease called CCJ. It stands for Complaining, Criticising and Jelous. The earlier some of you go to the hospital to be cured of this disease the better”.
She also took time to castigate some PF members on social media who excite audiences with doubt, by circulating such pieces of propaganda from UPND: “Please stop this. All you rumour mongers should know that such nonsense has the potential to destroy our Party”.
“Since this is Easter I want to put all of those behind this rumour in prayer and just say “Lord forgive them as they do not know what they are doing”.
The UPND has circulated false information alleging that Prof. Nkandu Luo had resigned as a Minister and quit the PF party.
