Miles Sampa says no one will stop him from being on the presidential ballot in August elections.
Reacting to the High Court decision to reverse the de-registeration of his party – Democratic Front (DF), Sampa said justice has prevailed.
Minister of Home Affairs Davies Mwila last week de-registered DF citing a contest on the ownership. Mwila said the contest threatened peace and hence his decision to de-register the party. He had however said the parties were free to challenge his decision in Court.
Judge Mulongoti reversed the decision by the Minister today.
Sampa said it was clear from the inception that the Patriotic Front government were frustrating his efforts to launch his party. He cited the Ndola incidence where PF Cadres stormed Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe and prevented him from landing.
He wondred why the PF has not de-registered the MMD that has been rocked with confusions.
DF has since gone into an alliance with Elias Chipimo’s NAREP and Eric Chanda’s 4th Republic and have adopted Sampa as president.
