Zambeef appoints new head of marketing

Food company Zambeef Products Plc has appointed Felix Lupindula as Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs.

 

The new role expands Mr Lupindula’s previous role as the company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations to incorporate the additional marketing function.

 

“The streamlining of the departments will help Zambeef to better leverage the functions of our departments’ activities and help carry our brands forward. With the experience and dedication he has shown over the years, we believe Felix is the right man for the task and look forward to seeing the Zambeef brands flourish under his direction,” said Zambeef Chief Executive Officer Francis Grogan.

 

The new appointment is in line with the group’s approach of continuing to focus on its market-driven strategy of production, processing, distribution and retailing of cold chain food products including beef, chicken, pork, milk, dairy products and eggs.

 

“Zambeef is a market-driven food company that aims to understand its customers and provide high quality, affordable local products that meet their needs. I look forward to working with the team to develop those markets further,” said Mr Lupindula.

 

Mr Lupindula has a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and is a qualified, accredited and examined agronomist with a post university qualification from Technikon Pretoria, South Africa. He recently graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Herriot Watt University in the UK.

 

He has 25 years of experience in agribusiness and commercial management covering agronomy, technical services and marketing, having worked as an agronomist and technical manager with various world plant sciences company franchises such as Bayer AG, Novartis (now Syngenta), and AgrEvo.

 

He was previously agronomist in charge of plant protection of Zambeef’s 24,000 hectares of annual cropping of wheat, soyabean , maize and the Zampalm plantation before becoming Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and then Head of Corporate Affairs .

 

Mr Lupindula was a founding director of the Lukanga Water and Sewerage Seven Centres Project in Kabwe where he served as board member for six years before he was later appointed as director and vice chairperson of Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Board where he currently sits on the audit committee.
