Excited Copperbelt province Minister Bowman Lusambo says Zambia is more important to him than his family.
Lusambo who together with nine provincial ministers just returned from China for a-10- day-visit says he has a heart for the people of Zambia.
“As some of you might be aware, the day of departure to China, my wife gave birth to our beautiful baby girl but due to the importance of the trip, my wife allowed me to travel to China. I took the trip because I have a heart for the people of Zambia and I put my country first,” Lusambo said on his Facebook account.
Lusambo has thanked his family for understanding him to be away and make some money from allowances.
“I also wish to thank my family for the understanding, love and support I received during the last two weeks of my absence,” he said.
And Lusambo has described the Chinese trip as an eye opener.
“Having just returned from a ten-day visit to China for a series of developmental workshops, I wish to thank the Almighty God for the successful trip.
I also wish to thank His Excellency President Edgar Chagwa Lungu for this great opportunity to visit and learn about the Chinese economic transformation.
By exposing me and nine other Provincial Ministers and the National Planning Minister to how China has managed to transform its economy, President Lungu has invested knowledge and information which will go a long way in accelerating national development.
We underwent extensive training in various fields.
As a team, we will soon be handing over our report to His Excellency President Lungu on how our activities whilst in China went.
We hope to issue a comprehensive statement and inform the public fully on which steps we would take towards implementation of some of the initiatives we picked up from China depending on the response from President Lungu.
As Copperbelt Minister, I am looking forward to implementing some of the strategies that we learnt from our colleagues in China.”
