The Teaching council of Zambia has warned all teachers that the deadline for registration with the teaching council remains November 30, 2016 which is just some days away and that those who are resisting to register will be disciplined or eliminated from the teaching service.
Speaking on Radio 2 today, Teaching Council of Zambia chief registrar has indicated that this is the first phase the council has embarked on and the second phase is scheduled to commence in January 2017 which is the issuing of teaching certificates to registered and qualified teachers according to the council’s scrutiny system.
The registrar has since advised all DEBS across the country to continue collecting registration forms from respective teachers until such a time when the council shall give a signal to stop the collection.
Meanwhile, successful applicants shall make it in the national teachers register and it is to those teachers that the council shall issue teaching certificates according to qualifications respectively.
