Martha Mushipe
Opposition UPND outspoken Lawyer Martha Mushipe has been declared bankrupt by the Lusaka High Court.
The High Court has since ordered that Mushipe’s property be repossessed in a matter where she failed to settle a loan from Indo Zambia Bank.
The judgement was delivered after Ms Mushipe failed to appear in a case in which Indo-Zambia Bank had sued her demanding over K200,000 debt.
Indo-Zambia Bank was demanding payment of funds advanced to Mushipe under an overdraft facility secured by an equitable mortgage and legal mortgage over the said property.
Ms Mushipe came to limelight during the August elections when she harangued Electoral Commission of Zambia officers accusing them of rigging the election results in favour of president Edgar Lungu.
