UPND Official Dr Cholwe Beyani says he has confirmed that a named Traditional leader in Eastern province is in possession of 4000 voters cards for Foreigners from Malawi and Mozambique.
And Dr Beyani who is also Senior Research Fellow/ Coordinator – Socio- Cultural Research Programme at UNZA has warned that the Foreigners who will attempt to come into Zambia to vote on Thursday will be burned alive.
“Our people have also confirmed registration of Malawian voters. A chieftainess (who shall remain nameless for a while) is holding 4,000 voters cards for the Malawian and Mozambique voters across the border,” says Dr Beyani who just returned from Eastern province to survey the political landscape before the elections.
He adds, “Our people have been to Mozambique to warn the headmen that should their people ever cross to engage in that illegality, they will suffer consequences and some may be burned alive. This is Zambian elections under lawless Lungu, whose ministers now at odds with the constitutional court. Thuggery is the way of PF. But as they say even the devil has his angels….”
Dr Beyani also says he has confirmed that PF Patauke Parliamentary candidate Dora Siliya sent thugs to assassinate an Independent candidate in Petauke who seems to be far stronger than both UPND and PF.
“It was UPND squad that thwarted the attack and the arrest of the criminal gang who we hear Lungu has released. They are pushing for the arrest of Dora Slit,” says Dr Beyani.
