Ballot papers for the August 11 elections are expected to arrive in the country tomorrow, Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Electoral Commission of Zambia Public Relations Manager Crispin Akufuna says the ballot papers will arrive on two different cargo planes with the first one arriving at 14:15 hours and the second one arriving at 18:25 hours.
Akufuna says verification of the ballot papers will commence on Friday, July 29 up to August 5, 2016.
The country goes to the polls in fifteen days time to elect the President, Members of Parliament Mayors and Council Chairpersons and Councillors.
Eligible voters who would have attained the age of 18 by 11th August will also vote in the referendum on the Bill of Rights.
