Our fathers built Zambia without Grade 12s, United National Independence Party Presidential Candidate Tilyenji Chanda Kaunda has charged.
Kaunda said this when addressing his supporters outside Mulungushi International Conference centre.
Mr. Kaunda successfully alongside his running mate Njekwa Anamela filed his nomination around 11:45 hours, before Hon. Justice Esau Chulu and the entire ECZ commissioners.
Mr. Kaunda was accompanied by his wife, his running mate and entourage from UNIP as his supporters remained outside the Mulungushi International Conference centre grounds. Upon the declaration of his nomination as successful, Kaunda proceeded outside the grounds and addressed the media and his supporters.
“The Electoral Commission of Zambia nomination fees despite their reduction remain high and prohibitive and seriously affected the participation of many citizens in the electoral systems. They have divided our society into two classes. Those who are rich and the poor majority” Kaunda said as his supporters cheered him. ”We are the founding party of the Republic of Zambia. We offer an unparalleled experience in the government of the nation” he said, “Our fathers built this country without Grade 12s, even in America they don’t have qualifications”
By press time FDD president Edith Nawakwi was on her way to file in.
