Chilufya Tayali has maintained that he spoke the facts about the corruption at Food Reserve Agency (FRA) involving Minister of Agriculture Given Lubinda, his Permanent Secretary and FRA Chief Executive Officer.
Reacting on the threats by Patriotic Front lawyer Tutwe Ngulube that he will be bruised as the accusations were malicious, Tayali charged that he speaks facts and not law jargon.
“I am glad most PF members have supported my exposition, though that overzealous and misdirected Tutwe was threatening me, tell the young man, I don’t speak legal jargon but facts,” Tayali charged.
Tayali who heads an NGO called Zambian Voice also points out hypocrisy among political party members. He has charged that despite his support for PF he will not shy from pointing the party’s shortcomings.
Below is Tayali’s full statement:
I want to address some of you people who are full of hypocrisy by praising me if I attack your opponent. You shower me with fake praises of being a true Zambian Voice, but the moment I touch your side, then I put myself on the free market of insults and abuse.
I also hate the fact that you keep on bringing in HH, even when the issue has nothing to do with him. If I mention anyone it is because they are connected to the subject under discussion.
And don’t say I insult HH, I don’t insult anyone, check GBM if you want to know what insults are. If Given was UPND, you would have been saying I have insulted him, and yet I just spoke facts about him regardless of how much he can refuse.

I will not change for you or for your little coins (in the name of helping with money for fuel), you may not like or believe it but I am my own man guided by the spirit to speak my mind. Of course that does not mean I am always right but I reserve the right to defend my point unless convinced otherwise.
Others, question what I stand for because they want me to be either on their political side or they don’t want me to question their wrongdoing just because I said they seem to be better than other politicians.
I have said it over and again that in spite of me supporting PF, for the simple reason that they seem to be better than UPND and other political parties, I am not a bonifide PF member because I want to retain my freedom to criticize even the PF without being gagged in collective responsibility.
You must also know that I don’t believe in consistency for the sake of itself but consistency in seeking what is good for me and others. Therefore, if UPND can change and become a better party than PF, I would easily switch to support it. However, my reasons would be very clear.
Of course this article raises two big questions, what is wrong about UPND and what makes PF better than UPND.
I wish I could go on to discuss those two questions but I know not many will read it because this article would be too long, so I will write that as a separate article later.
