…These Murder Cases Are Not Ordinary Says President Lungu
Four people have been arrested in connection with the recent suspected ritual killings in Lusaka.
President Edgar Lungu confirmed the development today and said the murder cases witnessed are not ordinary.
The Head of State said this on his Facebook page.
We are pained to learn of the ritual murders and evil attacks against our people especially in some parts of George Compound in Matero Constituency.
In our view these murders are not ordinary as they are driven by something evil, something alien to our christian beliefs and culture.
As a Christian Nation, these attacks have evoked something profound in us as a people; to strongly reject such happenings in our communities.
Our pain is that all this is happening amidst a people that deeply respect the sanctity and sacredness of human life.
I was therefore happy to hear this morning that the Police have detained four persons in relation to the recent murder and tremendous investigative progress is being made to bring to book the culprits at the centre of these evil activities.
Our communities should live in harmony and peace and we will ensure that protection and a sense of security prevails in all our communities around the country.
Therefore these evil attacks against our people will not prevail but fall.
And we remember God’s promise to us in Isaiah 54:17.
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and this is their vindication from me”, declares the Lord.
