The Presidential Prayer Team has conducted prayers along the highway between Lusaka and Kapiri Mposhi to pray against road traffic accidents in the country.
The team conducted the prayers on Friday and was led by State House Chaplain, Assistant Superintendent Atlas Kamwambi.
The team which also comprises of Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) officers are conducting prayers along the highway in a bid to anoint the Zambian roads as a way making them safe from road traffic accident through God’s interventions.
The prayers come in the wake of a spate of road traffic accidents that the country has faced in the recent past.
The team is expected to conduct similar prayers next week Tuesday along the Lusaka-Livingstone road.
And the RTSA has called on the church to pray against road traffic accidents in the country.
