The MMD has reported it’s expelled Lunte Member of Parliament to Police for going round the country mascarading as a member of the opposition.
Spokesperson for the MMD Rev Reuben Sambo has confirmed to Zambian Eye saying the party is surprised why Police has not arrested Mutati.
“We wish to put it on record that the police command have been duly notified of Mr Mutati’s activities. Surprisingly, he seems to be having his way in certain places,” stated Rev Sambo.
“This is clearly a breach of law and order and very suggestive of a law breaker corrupting the Police Service,” observes Sambo.
He says the MMD Members have restrained themselves from responding violently to Mutati as they know this is what he would very much wish.
Rev Sambo says Mutati stands expelled from the MMD and that his continued illegal activities of going around using the party name, symbol and the Rupiah Banda (RB) materials is clearly meant to provoke the party and create an impression that the party is in turmoil.
The MMD Spokesperson says It is clear for all to see that Mr Mutati is desperate and lonely.
“He is desperate to produce some sort of results for a sponsor or sponsors. He clearly is on puppet strings. He is going round to meet people who are expelled from the party and are most likely rejected in other parties as he is,” explains Rev Sambo.
Rev Sambo has urged Mr Mutati to be courageous and do what is honorable by following what his colleagues have done to defect or form his own party.
“Time is running out for him to be relevant somewhere. The New MMD has no room for people whose only means of engagement is misbehaviour,” Rev Sambo says.
