Nkweto Tembwe has quit his position as Communication Manager for the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) hours after his boss Kalusha Bwalya lost at the just ended elective Annual General Meeting.
Tembwe, who in the run up to the AGM was seen as supporting Kalusha, could not stay on for the remaining 10 days before his contract comes to an end.
He announced his decision in a letter of notice to the General Secretary which has been availed to the media.
Below is the letter:

The General Secretary,

Football House
Lusaka.
Dear Sir,
RE: NON RENEWAL OF CONTRACT COMMUNICATION MANAGER.
With reference to the above matter, I write to notify you sir that I do not wish to renew my contract of employment for the position of Communication Manager, as per my contract of employment, which runs up March 31, 2016. However, it is my wish to take leave for the remaining number of days.
My reasons for this action are purely professional and personal.
In order to avoid hiccups in the game of football we all live so much, I am ready to start the handover to my successor or indeed any officer with immidiate effect.
May I end by thanking you for the opportunity you granted me to serve this country. I wish the new Executive all the best in their new role of championing Zambian football.
Yours faithfully,
Nkweto Tembwe
