Emmanuel Mwamba
Zambia High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba has withdrawn his application in the Matero Primaries.
Mwamba had applied to be adopted to contest Matero constituency on the PF ticket.
In his address in Chinsali, President Edgar Lungu directed that all civil servants and public officials seeking to go into politics should choose between politics or resign their positions immediately.
President Lungu affirmed the earlier statement issued by his Spokesperson Amos Chanda on the same matter.
In his letter dated 15th March 2016 to the Matero Constituency Committee, Mwamba stated that he had heeded to the directive made by President Edgar Lungu and withdrew his application immediately.
The Patriotic Front has been conducting primaries to establish and adopt candidates for Councillors, Executive Mayors and Chairman and Members of Parliament.
