The Patriotic Front -PF- has extended the period for expression of interest for adoptions for one week.
PF Secretary General, Davies Chama says the move is meant to accommodate all aspiring candidates that still want to apply for adoptions.
Mr. Chama told ZNBC News in Lusaka on Wednesday that there have been appeals from party members and the public for the need to extend the process.
He is however, disappointed with Lusaka Central Parliamentarian, Guy Scott’s disparaging remarks against the party.
He said it is unfortunate that Dr. Scott has continued to unjustly attack the Party in a named Newspaper.
Mr. Chama said it is shocking that Dr. Scott decided to attack the only female Lusaka Central Constituency aspirant, Margaret Mwanakatwe.
Meanwhile, State House Deputy Minister, Mulenga Sata has applied to be adopted for the Lusaka Mayoral seat.
Mr. Mulenga said he has decided to contest the Mayoral seat because of the vast experience he has gained while serving as Mayor of the City of Lusaka.
