PF deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya has formally reported UPND vice-president for administration Geoffrey Mwamba for threatening President Edgar Lungu.
Mwamba, commonly known as GBM, allegedly issued the threats when addressing UPND Cadres at the party’s Secretariat after his release following his arrest and brief detention on charges of unlawful drilling.
The former defense minister threatened to take revenge on President Lungu whom he accuses of being behind his arrest and persecution.
Speaking shortly after reporting the matter at Lusaka Central Police Station this morning, Bwalya said Mwamba’s threats on the President has gripped the ruling PF with fear.
He told journalists that the Police have cooperated and have assured to open an inquiry on the matter and investigate to determine what offense Mr. Mwamba may have committed following his statement yesterday.
