Shawi Fawaz at it again – The case of Kalengwa Mine

Please as usual help us expose the injustice that the people of Mufumbwe especially the owners of Kalengwa Mine are going through at the hands of One Shawi Fawaz and some disgruntled corrupt elements in Zambian Society. We know you will help us expose the wrongs by publishing the below information and we know as usual you will stand with the poor against the mighty even as you fight to ensure justice everywhere. We will continue to give you more information on this matter as long as this evil and injustice is not abated or stopped concerning Kalengwa Mine.

Shawi Fawaz the owner of Hetro Mining and Lunga Resources, a Lebanese national resident in Zambia has with impunity been breaking laws and disobeying Court rules including the highest Court in the land, the Supreme Court.

We as Zambian Citizens cannot allow injustice and perpetration of illegalities by a corrupt person simply because he is rich.

A case in point is a situation where despite two High Court rulings and two Supreme Court rulings giving Kalengwa Mine back to their rightful owners, the last Supreme Court ruling being in March 2015, Shawi Fawazi realizing that he had lost the Mine that he had illegally occupied for years teamed up with one Corrupt Judge in the name of Chalwe Mchenga and managed in the lower court to get an order of stay of the Supreme Court Ruling on the mine claiming on the fraudulent basis and claim that Kalengwa Mine was Shawi’s farm which he obtained in 2014. This is nothing but utter nonsense in broad daylight. We demand that this illegal order of stay based on nothing but falsification be removed immediately and Kalengwa Mine be allowed to be run freely the way the rightful owners want to run it without any hindrance.

Surely even a child born yesterday knows that Kalengwa Mine has never been a farm. It has always been a mine run by reputable mining firms until Shawi Fawazi dubiously jumped on the mine and the matter began to be contested in the Courts of Law (We shall explain later how Shawi Fawazi has proven a nuisance in the Kalengwa Mine issue and how the Zambian system condoned his crookedness and has continued to do so).

The Mufumbwe local Council never at any point sat to approve Kalengwa Mine as a Farm for Shawi Fawazi and neither did Chief Chizera under whose customary armpit the mine falls write a consent letter. So how did Shawi Fawazi get Kalengwa Mine as his farm? Who gave him the consent to that customary land? What due process did he follow? How can the same person who for years was fighting for the mine in Court after losing the Court case later come and say this is my farm obtained in fact when the matter was active in Court. That in itself is contempt. And this is burglary by Shawi Fawazi happening in broad day light when the highest Court in the land has given a ruling that Shawi Fawazi and his cronies leave the mine and leave it to the owners.

Everyone including Judge Mchenga, who fully knows and read the judgments over Kalengwa Mine, knows that Shawi Fawazi is a criminal (And we will help him and the general populace reminding them of his criminality). And we will begin show on this site the rulings of the Court and expose the sham. How can Chalwe Mchenga surely turn a blind eye and close his ears to fact and truth and endorse illegality. What is Shawi Fawazi to him? What has he done to him for him to unashamedly disrespect the legitimate right of the Zambian Citizens approved by the highest Court in the land just to fulfill the insatiably wicked desire of a foreign criminal? Anyone can see that Judges such as Chalwe Mchenga are being corrupted in broad daylight to bend justice. Police officers too are being corrupted by Fawazi in broad day light and especially the ones in Mufumbwe have even become pay masters for Shawi.

This criminal called Shawi Fawazi who boasts that the Zambian Justice system is in his pocket, who boasts that he was born in Court, and the Court can do nothing to him, and who blatantly boasts that he runs his mischievous errands with the full consent of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu especially in this case of Kalengwa where he claims he is into it with many others including the President and there is nothing anyone will do about it. He boats that he funds the Presidency and he is funding the Edgar Lungu Presidential campaign no wonder he is invited at high profile PF functions.

Now surely, the poor people of Mufumbwe and legitimate owners of that Mine cannot run their mine properly and cannot begin to benefit from it simply because of one notorious criminal and corrupt element that is tolerated to flout laws with impunity. He gets into the way by threatening people who want to invest in the Kalengwa Mine. We the keepers of the Law and Citizens who stand to support the poor against the mighty and corrupt will not sit by and watch this continue.

For now we will ask President Edgar Lungu to exonerate himself from this criminal element’s claims that he feasts with him. We know that President Edgar Lungu does not support breaking of the law but some of  his ministers and minions (whom we shall name later) around him are dining with this corrupt element called Shawi Fawazi whose claims and acts are really tarnishing the Presidents Standing and compromising the justice system in Zambia. Let the rule of law be respected, let justice be honored!!

We ask the Chief Justice right before whom Judge Chalwe Mchenga is endorsing illegalities because his pockets have been oiled to caution this Judge and reprimand him and the other corrupt judges. We know the majority of our judges are law abiding and incorruptible but a few like Chalwe Mchenga must not be allowed to contaminate our justice system. We really don’t think the learned Chief Justice could tolerate such misdemeanor from a selfish, greedy, crooked judge and the like within the judiciary.

The people of Mufumbwe have been patient and law abiding. But this patience has been stretched too far and taken for a ride as utter docility and ignorance by Shawi Fawazi who has made them go through torture and pain by his cruelty and corruptness. They have endured for more than ten years seeking justice in the Courts whilst during this time Shawi Fawazi was busy illegally extracting, transporting and selling the Copper and indeed filling the pockets of greedy and dishonest people some of them from North Western Province (We shall begin to name them and how they have benefited at a later time). He was also busy serving in the PF. Surely can we place this criminal where he belongs. If right does not begin to be done in this issue, we will begin to expose all the related wrongs and we will use other means to ensure that this evil is wiped out and justice is upheld and right prevails.

This is only the beginning.
