Edwin Sakala leader of an opposition party called ZDDM says his party will attend the assentiment of the constitution bill event out of the love and respect for President Edgar Lungu.

Sakala is opposed that the president should sign the bill into law and last week he visited State House with a view to persuade President Lungu.

President Lungu will on January 5, 2016 sign the bill on a historical event scheduled to be held at Heroes International Stadium in Lusaka.

Sakala says:

On hearing that President Edgar Lungu will assent to the constitution bill on the 5th of January, 2016 our party network quickly communicated on whether to attend the signing occasion or not because of the serious concerns and reservations we have over the deleted clauses and inclusions of seemingly innocent and progressive ideas but retrogressive and a danger to democracy as it actually bar and remove the majority of good citizens without grade 12 certificates from effective participation in national politics.

As one of the oldest political parties in the country which has been like salt in Zambian politics since the late 80s and vast experience after having had worked very closely and at personal level with nearly all the former and present party leaders in Zambia and also been close personal friends with some of the great African leaders who included the Great Libyan leader Muammer Quddafi,

Through the close relationship with the Great Libyan leader ZDDM was accorded a chance to work on committees which advocated for the establishment of a United States of Africa which allowed us to participate actively in national, continental and global politics hence our ability to understand the dangers facing Zambia and indeed Africa as a continent.

Unlike other political parties which expose their membership ZDDM has since inception guarded the identity of its senior members countrywide who are mainly driven by a spirit of nationalist and patriots with a strong desire to defend national interest.

After wide consultation within ZDDM and other nationalist  on the constitutional bill we decided to bring to the presidents attention our serious concerns but to attend the occasion and to continue supporting him as the Father of the nation with the hope that he will with time realize that this bill will only work to the advantage of the forces which have continued to  work against him and our nation using their “Local running dogs” as it has shut the doors to the majority poor and opened them wide open to foreign sponsored organizations.

We have made our well founded fears known but can assure the president of our total and genuine support in fighting against the forces working against him and our nation.

This situation reminds us of how we sat with the Great Libyan leader at his State House in Tripoli and advised him of the danger we foresaw four days before the great nation fell to the same evil forces working against our nation hence our decision to openly and in good faith to express our fear that the deleting of the mixed proposion representation and the devolution clauses will only deny Zambia a chance to consolidate its independence.

ZDDM representatives at all the district, provincial and national Constitution drafting conferences fully supported the people’s voice when they over whelmly supported the clauses which parliament decided to deleted .

The deleted clauses were in fact the most important to ZDDM as compared to the political clauses like 50 plus one and that of a running mate which will create big problems of their own.

The deleted clauses are the ones which could have helped restore the spirit of nationalism and patriotism which Zambia desperately need at this point in time.

The coming into parliament of the voices of the ordinary citizen was going to introduce real issues from the grassroots and enrich debate in Parliament which is meanwhile dominated by people who used “money power and sweet language”.

While devolution of power would have not only multiplied the army of Zambians guarding every inch of Zambian soil which is going into foreign hands at an alarming rate but also facilitated express development and creation of thousands of jobs.

ZDDM is fully aware that there very evil , rich and powerful external forces fighting against President Lungu using their local “running dogs” to desperately install a puppet regime which will hand over Zambia on a silver plate hence the urgent need to have a constitution which can take “Power to the people” instead of marginalizing the majority population and trying to sideline indigenous opposition parties which defend national interest .

We fear that in this constitutional bill parliament has acted like a rat which eats the heart of a seed and leave the useless part for human beings who think breakfast meal mealie is best thus fueling the interest of the well

funded evil machinery which has expanded its network that it has not even spared President Lungus office where documents are stolen at will.

It is against this background that are not surprised that key clauses in the constitution which could have help defend Zambian independence have been deleted such as the deleted clauses and inclusion of  stumbling blokes like the need for 1000 supporters from across the country which will kill democracy in Zambia.

Zambians must be helped to understand that using bad laws to bloke the poor people from excising their right is extremely dangerous because as human beings they may seek other ways of trying to get back into participating power. Money should not be used as a yard stick to bloke people from excising their democratic rights.
