Energy Minister Dora Siliya says there is a disturbance on the ZESCO system at Kafue Gorge and Kariba that has caused power cuts in the whole country except Southern and Western provinces.
The eight provinces were cut off power supply at 10pm on Thursday.
“We have experienced a disturbance on the ZESCO system tripping power at Kafue Gorge and Kariba,” Siliya explains. “This has disrupted power supply to all Provinces EXCEPT Southern and Western provinces supplied by Victoria falls.”
The Minister has assured that everything is being done to restore power.
