Renowned Musician Clifford Dimba, aka General Kanene, has again come face to face with the law after been sued for allegedly beating up a woman and fracturing her hand.
Particulars of the offence are that on June 18 this year, Dimba allegedly assaulted Sharon Ngandula, 27, a student of Kamwala South.
Dimba is charged with assault and causing bodily harm to Ngandula.
In 2014, Dimba was imprisoned for defiling a juvenile after 18 months President Edgar Lungu pardoned him.
Few weeks after his pardon Dimba was accused of assaulting one of
his three wives after she refused to have sex with him.
The third wife allegedly suffered heavy injuries on her face and right eye after she was beaten by the Dimba.
General citizens and Civil society made their disappointment known to State House that a man Lungu released from prison had beaten up his wife.
Lungu pardoned Dimba last yeat and urged him to be an ambassador in the fight against Child defilement and gender based violence, a move which he later reversed after an uproar in the w
omen’s movement.
