President Lungu
Those who attended the prayers and fasting which were called for by President Lungu and those who abstained from attending are both waiting to see which way things might go.
The truth is that, both those prayed and who did not pray desire to see God answering cry of the Zambians, to see good rainfall which can end the loadshedding and give us a harvest and a better vegetation around us.
The impact of the loadshedding has affected the livelihood of Zambians at every level, making the government of the day panic so much fearing even their own shadow thinking it is Hakainde Hichilema coming behind them when he has actually gone to Europe.
In my mind, it is very very clear that President Lungu and his team have seen that time is too short to make the Zambian people desire their leadership again and it can only be so unless a miracle takes place according to prayers uttered during the fasting time.
If those prayers shall not be answered and things grow worse then indeed, God is against the leadership of President Lungu because of their deceptive ways of doing things and God shall definitely expose them and no matter how much they try to cover the lid on the ‘toilet’, it shall still smell bad even after flashing and applying every good detergent.
But if the call was not for political mileage, then surely we must begin to see miracles now and not in the tomorrow.
The minister of energy told the nation that the Kariba dam shall only get full again after three years, this means in 2018 and that is not a miracle at all and it means big problems for PF in 2016 during election time.
Just around the loadshedding, it also means production in the mining sector shall continue to be very low, no jobs for the artisans, plumbers, bloirers, drillers, technicians, and other skilled men and even those without skills. In short, they must all become farmers ( NOT VERY PRACTICAL FOR SKILLED MEN, BUT RATHER A MOCKERY FOR THEM).
Once the monies is finished which they were paid, President Lungu and his PF government must expect the worst reaction ever from the Copperbelt against his government.
Miners are fast spenders of money and a quick fix of no paying of tax when government knows with the mines that it has been taken away quietly won’t help.
Banks cancelling the loans ( it can be a mountain into the sea for the mine workers). Banks are called commercial banks, they are there to make money, and again it has been whispered that government with the banks and the mine owners have simply worked out things in a particular way that the retired miners should have their monies not showing that they still owe the banks, but rather their loans have already been removed in a special way.
The loadshedding, shall be felt not only in not having power in our homes and industries but also in the pockets, wallets, and accounts in the banks.
Something must be done by the government of Mr Lungu, and definitely not the quick save that government is trying to introduce.
Zambia needs tangible solutions not for 2016 votes where they are cutting off kidneys that are bad due to jameson, but they must help the whole body to avoid jameson so that the kidneys can be treated and get health again.
The same God who held the rains for three years by the mouth of the Prophet Elijah, He can also give us good rains if we honestly humble ourselves and repent and stop mistreating other human beings that also have the right to assemble.
