President Lungu waves at the audience during the celebrations

President Edgar Lungu is reported using government systems to ensure he wins the 2016 presidential election.

Sources in government have told Zambian Eye that Lungu is desperate to retain power and is not leaving any stone unturned.

The source says the use of police to intimidate the opposition is one tactic that is being employed.

Another tactic the source says is to woo support from the recent teachers recruitment exercise and the increase of salaries for civil servants.

“The current recruitment of teachers is another eye opener for the opposition not to be sluggish in their mobilisation but to be sober and of a sound mind,” a source explained.

A source added; “the recruited teachers are not only employed to spy towards the 2016 elections but a great recipe of rigging the elections particularly in the urban areas like Lusaka and the Copperbelt and part of Northern and Luapula.”

The PF party is very worried about UPND entry into these areas, according to the source.

“PF knows that, they can’t rig in certain provinces where it is clear that UPND is totally incharge, hence making sure that the waters are kept in unstable manner for UPND in areas such as the Copperbelt and Lusaka and Northern provinces so as to make it look like the main opposition party that the electorate are considering as the alternative government does not have great numbers in these areas,” the source further said.

The source explained that the PF is not worried about the MMD that is why they allowed it’s leader Dr Nevers Mumba to campaign on the Copperbelt without being interrupted by the Police like Hakainde Hichilema. Dr Mumba this week campaigned in Ndola and Luanshya.

The preacherman spoke freely and the police never said there were security challenges.

“Security challenges shall only arise when UPND go into those areas,  our source involved in the scheme told us.

The source says there are also moves to have the MMD go into an alliance with the ruling Party in the event that a 50 plus one percent is enacted by Parliament.

“This has been orchestrated by the new pf godfather “nine mwana Wanyoko ” the new master dribbler after the late Chiluba. Mr. RB is persuaded to make things possible for Chagwa once again.

Make no mistake, this is why President Lungu is boasting of staying longer in office than one and half years. As Nevers is on the copperbelt right now and HH decides to go back now,  HH shall be disrupted by either the police or PF cadres. It is therefore imperative for HH to move forward without fear.

Yesterday the commander in chief, President Lungu went to solicity for votes in Arrakan barracks by giving out certificates to only 68 soldiers, which his minister could have done or his command the army commander could have done or the chief of staff. At this time the President is likely to get anywhere a function is taking place because he is afraid that HH naisa hot.”
