File: Obvious Mwaliteta
Former Kafue Member of Parliament Obvious Mwaliteta has mysteriously gone missing from University Teaching Hospital (UTH) where he was undergoing treatment.
Mwaliteta has been on Police custody at Woodlands Police station after he was arrested on Sunday for unknown case.
During the announcement of results for the just ended general elections, Mwaliteta is reported to have confiscated alleged premarked ballots from City Airport though authorities say they were Gen 12 forms from outside Lusaka that were being delivered to ECZ.
He fail ill from Woodlands Police where he was detained and was evacuated to UTH for treatment.
His wife who was on the bedside confirmed saying she left him on drip and was seeing off some vistors at 4pm only to find he was not there.
She says the nurses were equally unaware of her husband’s whereabouts.
The children and relatives complained saying they have the rights to know about his whereabouts even if he is under arrested. His lawyer could equally not access him.
By press time there was no official response from the police. The wife says he left him on the bed and with plain-clothed police officers.
