FB_IMG_1470860896771President Edgar Lungu has urged all participants in tomorrow’s general elections to accept and respect the outcome of the polls.

And the President has warned that the country’s security wings are on hand to deal with those that will want to cause violence after losing the elections.

Addressing thousands of Lusaka residents that attended the Patriotic Front’s final campaign rally at Lusaka’s Woodlands stadium, President Lungu said there can only be one winner in an election, hence the need for the losers to graciously accept the outcome.

He promised to concede defeat should he lose, emphasising that he will not shed blood to remain in State House. He however warned those hoping to ascend to power outside the provisions of the law that they will be met with the full wrath of the law.

And Lungu could not resist to take a swipe at his main challenger Hakainde Hichilema (UPND) and his running mate Geoffrey Mwamba, calling them “rich men without wisdom.”

He claimed Hichilema and Mwamba had spent most of their money on politics and were only seeking the presidency to recoup their “investments”.

He boasted that he beat Hichilema in 2015 despite all his millions and referred to himself as a “nonentity”. He urged the electorate to vote for him and show the duo that money is not everything.

And his running mate Inonge Wina praised Lungu for walking the talk on issues of gender equality.
