NAREP leader Elias Chipimo has announced that he will not run for president in next year’s general elections.
Chipimo told a media briefing this morning that his party will instead concentrate on building its structures in readiness for the 2021 general elections.
He has has however disclosed that the party will field parliamentary candidates and councillors and is confident that they will scoop three seats.
And the opposition leader says it is too early for NAREP to announce which political party it will support during next year’s general election.
NAREP has struggled to make a mark on the Zambian political arena, failing to win a single seat at local government or parliamentary level since the party’s formation in 2010.
