Hakainde Hichilema has told the people of Chawama that in the next three weeks when he wins the Zambia elections he will offer free education to their children.
Addressing a mammoth rally in Chawama this afternoon, Hichilema said time for change had come. He the people had suffered enough due to poor leadership by the PF.
Hichilema or HH as he is commonly known promised to build three Secondary Schools in Chawama once elected president.
He promised that drivers licences will be renewed after three years and that he will reduce custom duty for cars to enable the poor buy cars.
The UPND said he will allow street vendors to sell in the streets. He said the PF was cheating people that he will chase Vendors from the streets.
HH also promised Civil Servants who have been transferred for allegedly sympathising with the UPND that he will take them back.
He said his pair with Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba or GBM was better than Edgar Lungu and Inonge Wina.
HH said he and GBM were successful businessmen who knew how to address the challenges the country was facing.
He urged the people to turn up in numbers and ensure that they vote out PF in the first round.
“We beat them in the first round, we don’t want second round,” HH said.
On the referendum, HH said, “vote for the UPND Councilor, Mayor, MP and president with running mate. Don’t waste time on the referendum. We work on the constitution when you put us there.”
